<br />North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> <br />April 8, 1998 <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Attendance: Claire Hayes, Chairman <br /> Tim Smith, Vice-Chairman <br /> Tom Jenkins, Safety Director <br /> Carolyn Kasler, City Council Member <br /> Mike Dolansky, Commissioner <br /> Pat Scott, Secretary <br /> <br />Absent: Dave Gardner, Member <br /> Robert Kasler, Member <br /> Rich Scott, Member <br /> Todd Morgan, Assistant Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br />Visitors: Ralph Bohlmann, Service Director <br /> Westshore Figure Skating Club <br /> Larry Szuhay, Vice President <br /> Rae Ann Thomas <br /> North Olmsted Hockey Club <br /> Dave Swartwood, President <br /> Joni Szucs, Vice President <br /> Bud Tetzlaff, Treasurer <br /> Kathy Fievete <br /> <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />Mrs. Hayes asked the members to review the minutes of the March 25, 1998 meeting. A <br />motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to accept the minutes as mailed. <br /> <br />Visitors Opportunity to Address Commission: <br />Mr. Jenkins stated at our last meeting we talked about the ODNR grant for the roof <br />replacement and also the need for replacing the HVAC system in the Ice Rink. Mr. Bohlmann <br />stated the ODNR grant for $80,000 is being matched by an additional $80,000 from the City to <br />cover the cost of the roof replacement project. The City must initiate the roof project this year <br />or they jeopardize losing the ODNR grant. City Council recently committed the $80,000 and <br />additional funds to also complete the HVAC replacement and dehumidification system <br /> <br />
