All current members of the
commission were in attendance.

Ms. Hayes asked Todd Morgan to begin the meeting by introducing the visitors. Ms. Linda
Powell and Ms. Sandy Sorge, two of the Rec Centers “tennis enthusiasts”, were introduced.
Dave Gardner interjected, proposing that January’s minutes be reviewed. Ms. Hayes agreed.
Minutes were reviewed and correction noted. Ms. Hayes called for motion to approve the
minutes. Mr. Gardner so motioned, with a second by Mr. Scott. Votes were taken. Motion
approved unanimously.

Mr. Morgan re-introduced Ms. Powell and Ms. Sorge, who were in attendance to speak on tennis
issues. Mr. Morgan, also, introduced Ms. Lois Debrot, who was in attendance to speak on a
Clague Park issue.

Ms. Powell and Ms. Sorge began with “thank you’s” for the changes which they have seen in the
tennis courts: water cooler and new score cards and the effort put forth to improve the tennis
area (i.e. re-painting). There are still issues that they would like to see addressed. They had
prepared and passed out an agenda of their focus for the meeting. Ms. Powell stated that the
tennis area needs to be updated to be more adequate and attractive. Ms. Powell also stated that
there are plumbing problems in the women’s locker room, whereas only one toilet flushes
properly and faucets need replaced. Although the floor has been painted, the new paint is now
coming up due to continued plumbing problems. New door locks are needed on the restroom
Page 1
