Kelley, Chairman <br />Tom Terbrack, Safety Director <br /> <br /> Paul Barker, Councilman <br /> Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner <br /> Betsy Drenski, Assistant Commissioner <br /> Norman Baxter, Member <br /> Randi Jones, Member <br /> Anna Kanis, Member <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Visitors: Susan Skuza <br />Linda Powell <br />Ed Garrity <br /> <br /> <br />VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION <br /> <br />The visitors attended for observation and comment as the meeting progressed. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Minutes of December 2005 <br /> <br />The location of the new fire station is clarified to be two properties west of the Elmhurst and Lorain <br />Road intersection (see New Business, Fire Department). <br /> <br />Further comment on the new Fire Station ensued. Ms. Jones asked when the construction would be <br />starting. Mr. Terbrack said that the City is going to the Board of Control tomorrow, January 10, <br />2006, to award a construction manager contract, and the architect is working on finalizing design. <br />The property has been purchased. Mr. Baxter said that he read that the entrance driveway for the fire <br />station will be on the west side, used as a trail end for getting back into the Metroparks. Mr. Terbrack <br />said yes, that the Mayor and the Planning Director have been negotiating with the Metroparks to have <br />a common access point that would be a driveway to enter, to be used as a return to the station. <br />Otherwise, they will go straight out Lorain Road. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
