<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />June 2, 2008 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />In Attendance: Terry Groden, Chairperson <br />Mark Mahoney, Councilman, Vice Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br />John Dailey, Director, Community Life Services <br />Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner <br /> <br /> Norm Baxter, Member <br /> John J. Lasko, Jr. <br /> Julie Nader, Member <br /> Chris Scarl, Member <br /> <br />Visitors: Jennifer Rudolph <br />Ed Garrity <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Groden opened the meeting with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by all before roll call <br />was taken. <br /> <br />Mr. Lasko asked the Chairman about Joe Hyland, who was involved heavily with the schools and had <br />something to do with the Parks and Recreation from the standpoint that when the schools used the <br />facilities, Joe was involved with taking the fence up and down and, Mr. Lasko was sure, some other <br />things interacting with the City, died suddenly and tragically from a motorcycle accident about a week <br />ago and asked the Commission to observe a moment of silence to reflect upon his passing. Mr. <br />Groden agreed to Mr. Lasko’s request, and a moment of silence ensued; Mr. Groden said that he was <br />sure everyone at the meeting was praying for the family. <br /> <br />VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION <br /> <br />Welcome <br /> <br />Mr. Groden welcomed everyone to the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting of June 2, 2008 <br />and welcomed the visitors. At that time, he opened the floor to comments from any of the visitors. <br />The visitors reported that they had no comments at this time but reserved their right to as the meeting <br />progressed. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 5, 2008 <br /> <br />Upon Motion moved, seconded and approved unanimously, the Minutes were approved as written <br />with an “aye” by all members of the Commission. <br /> <br />
