<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />October 6, 2008 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:01 p.m. <br /> <br />In Attendance: Terry Groden, Chairperson <br />Mark Mahoney, Councilman, Vice Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br />John Dailey, Director, Community Life Services <br />Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner <br /> <br />Betsy Drenski, Assistant Commissioner <br /> <br /> Norm Baxter, Member <br /> John J. Lasko, Jr. <br /> Chris Scarl, Member <br /> <br />Visitors: Jennifer Rudolph <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Groden opened the meeting with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by all before roll call <br />was taken. <br /> <br />VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION <br /> <br />The visitor was in attendance for comment as the meeting progressed, if necessary. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 8, 2008 <br /> <br />Upon Motion moved by Mr. Mahoney, seconded by Mr. Scarl, and approved unanimously, the <br />Minutes were accepted as written. <br /> <br />SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF THE RECREATION COMMISSIONER <br /> <br />Financial Statements <br /> <br />Mr. DiSalvo began his report with the Recreation Programs Income Statement Comparison (copy <br />attached). He said that the only two things of any significance on the prior year until now is with the <br />pool lessons down a little from the prior year; last year it was $148,000, and this year it’s $146,700 so, <br />the Rec is about $1,000+ behind prior years. Tennis is also having some income issues with rentals <br />down from the prior year. The Commissioner has since contacted Pat (Cunningham), and they are <br />projected to end the year hitting budget. Note that it’s all outlined and that everyone is hitting <br /> <br />
