<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />March 2, 2009 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />In Attendance: Mark Mahoney, Councilman, Acting Chairperson <br /> Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner <br /> John Dailey, Director, Community Life Services <br /> Norm Baxter, Member <br /> John J. Lasko, Jr., Member <br /> Julie Nader, Member <br /> Chris Scarl, Member <br /> <br />Visitor: Linda Powell <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Mahoney opened the meeting with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by all before roll call <br />was taken. <br /> <br />VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION <br /> <br />Ms. Powell acknowledged that she was in attendance as an observer of the meeting only and for <br />comment, if necessary, as the meeting progressed. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF JANUARY 5, 2009 <br /> <br />Mr. Mahoney moved to approve the Minutes of January 5, 2009; after seconded by Mr. Lasko and <br />approved unanimously, the January 5, 2009 Minutes passed as written. <br /> <br />SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF THE RECREATION COMMISSIONER <br /> <br />Financial Report <br /> <br />Mr. DiSalvo stated that the first page of his report was the Income Statement Comparison with 2008 <br />and succeeding year 2009 for January and February. The main reason the Rec income is ahead from <br />the prior year is because Jenny (Couts) collected most of her summer camp fees in the Enrichment <br />Programs this month. The Rec did an early registration. Notifications went out to the families that <br />were in the program last year that are residents because we are limited to 150 registrations this year. <br />Essentially, through that, Jenny is well above the prior year.
