<br /> RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />26000 LORAIN ROAD <br />MINUTES FOR APRIL 4, 2011 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mr. Groden called the meeting to order at 7:00 at the Recreation Complex Administrative <br />Offices and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Terry Groden, Kevin Kearney, Ed Garrity, Paul Ruggles, Marty Clancy <br />Absent: Betsy Drenski, Commissioner; Chris Scarl <br />Staff: Chris Wetmore, Assistant Commissioner; Erin Figueira, Aquatic Supervisor <br />Visitor: Lenore Medykowski, Cleveland Edges <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Minutes for March 7, 2011 are approved as written. <br />ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER: <br />The newsletter has been sent out to all residents and non-residents that are entered into the <br />Recreation system. Our next special event that will take place is our first annual Eggstravaganza <br />rd <br />which will take place on Saturday, April 23 at North Olmsted Park. We will have three age <br />groups participate in an egg hunt. There will also be a DJ, face painting, crafts and refreshments <br />in the gazebo and a special bunny. <br />th <br />For the 4 of July there will be a parade and events at North Olmsted Park. The events will <br />include an inflatable slide, bounce house and carnival games. There will also be hot dogs and <br />beverages. <br />Mr. Ruggles said that for the next high school faculty meeting he has included information <br />th <br />about the Eggestravaganza and will mention the 4 of July parade to see who might be <br />interested in participating. Mr. Wetmore suggested that he would like to have the high school <br />marching band or the alumni marching band participate to help improve the event. <br /> <br />
