<br /> RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />26000 LORAIN ROAD <br />MINUTES FOR MAY 2, 2011 <br />7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mr. Groden called the meeting to order at 7:00 at the Recreation Complex Administrative <br />Offices and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: Terry Groden, Kevin Kearney, Ed Garrity, Paul Ruggles, Marty Clancy, Chris Scarl <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff: Betsy Drenski, Commissioner; Chris Wetmore, Assistant Commissioner <br /> <br />Visitor: Lenore Medykowski, Cleveland Edges; Linda Powell, Patron <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Minutes for April 4, 2011 are approved as written. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER <br /> <br /> <br />SPECIAL EVENTS: <br /> <br />Ms. Drenski reported the Eggstravaganza at North Olmsted Park on April 23rd went very well <br />th <br />with approximately 280 children in attendance. The Ice Show will take place starting May 20 <br />nd <br />thru May 22, there are 180 registered skaters, which is more than last year. Ms. Drenski asked <br />th <br />if everyone would help spread the word about the 4 of July celebration. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION: <br /> <br />th <br />The rink will be closed to the public starting May 15, and will be dedicated to setting up the <br />Ice Show. Ice maintenance will take place after the show along with the installation of a new <br />thermostat that will help regulate the ice temperature more consistently and save money. <br /> <br /> <br />
