In conjunction with the updates, staff reviewed the Rules of
Procedure. Mr. O'Malley said the biggest change was the process for continuance of cases in
Section 6. Once a case has been presented to the commission, the commissioners can decide
whether or not to allow a request to be tabled. Ms. Lieber said the Historical Recognition Plaque
Program was removed since the commission is no longer running the program. She explained
that when an application is withdrawn, the applicant would need to reapply to go before the
board, whereas a tabled application would be heard at a future meeting.
