-1- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />a�xc-s <br />MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 28, 1982 <br />Meeting of the North -Olmsted Civil Service was called to order at 7:45 P.M. <br />by Chairman W4j.te.r.__S.pa7 ding. In attendance was Commissioner ao_ger_ Alexander. <br />Also in attendance was Patricia Bahas, Civil Service Secretary, Joseph P. <br />Corrigan, North Olmsted Service Director, Thomas Terbrack, Supervisor of <br />Operations, North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and Marion R. Taylor, Chief <br />of Police City.of North Olmsted, and Fire Chief Van Kuren. Commissioner <br />Philip Huffman arrived at 7:50 P.M. <br />Minutes <br />Minutes of the August 26th meeting were approved as corrected. Corrections, <br />included the addition of a deleted "w" in the Mayor's name and a typograph- <br />ical error for the word, "processing". <br />Correspondence <br />r <br />Correspondence received and sent can be found on the attached sheets. <br />Old Business <br />1. Firefighter Paramedic Exam. Secretary reported to the Commission that <br />two hundred twenty two candidates participated in the entry-level Firefighter - <br />Paramedic Exam which was conducted by the field representative ,for McCann <br />Testing Consultants. It was pointed out that a request for a review of <br />the questions and correct answers within a five day period as stated in <br />the North'Olmsted Civil Service Law (Rule IV, sect. 11; subsection a, <br />entitled, "Prior to Grading") could not be honored as the answer sheet is <br />not kept by the city, nor is the test booklet. The candidate who re- <br />quested the inspection of the test accepted the explanation. Commission <br />members were asked for procedural directions. Roger Alexander moved to: <br />"Suspend Section 11, subsection (a) of Rule IV of the <br />Rule and Regulations of the North Olmsted Civil Service <br />Commission." The, motion was seconded by Chairman Walter <br />Spalding. <br />Motion Passed <br />` Other items for discussion included the lack of a specific definition for <br />the term "college" and the lack of a'criteria to meet the requirement <br />"full year of college". <br />
