CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO CIVIL SERVICE MEETING: September 26, 1991 PRESENT: Chairman Robert Wendt, Commissioner Henry Robinson, Commissioner Al Kovelan, Secretary Tracy Ice GUESTS: Safety'Director.Ernest Gundy,.Fire Chief Osterhouse, Police Chief Sefcek" MINUTES OF PREVIOUS.MEETING APPROVED AS READ. OLD BUSINESS Civil Service can not think -about using Mr. Huggins' service "Insight & Attitudes" until his budget is built into our budget for next year. Therefore., we will not be able to use his services for the Police Exam., which will be given approximately in March of 1992, because of the lack of time but will hopefully use his services for future tests. The Civil Service Commission has started to up -date their Rules and Regulations Handbook. They will meet again on October 16, 1991 in ;- the evening to continue the process. After Civil Service makes all their changes, the handbooks will be sent to other departments to make any additions/deletions that they feel are necessary. This will take a long time before the final copy will be sent out. A while back Tracy Ice had asked Ron Wilamosky to up -date our Civil Service Payroll sheet. Ron later gave Tracy a list. Letters to the individuals who are no longer covered under Civil Service will be notified by mail the week of September 30, 1991. In our last minutes, the Commission stated that the Zone Supervisor and Assistant Maintenance Supervisor of the Bus Line had been removed from our Certified List, but with more discussion the Commission decided that since these two individuals have no coverage that they will be put back on our Certified List. The Police Agility Test was given on September 7, 1991. The Commission met on September 18th and decided to pass everyone. Letters were mailed to the candidates on September.19 and copies of the ranking of those candidates went to Chief Sefcek, Mayor Boyle and Mr. Gundy on September 23. Chief Sefcek advised the Commission that he is doing background investigations from the list that Civil Service sent him on September 23, 1991.
