CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, 0141.O <br />.,rases.. <br />CIVIL SERVICE MEETING: January 23, 1992 <br />PRESENT: Chairman Henry Robinson, Commissioner Jim Hines, <br />Secretary Tracy Ice <br />GUESTS: Ernest Gundy Safety Director, <br />Chief Osterhouse, Ron Wilamosky Per'sonnel Director <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED AS READ. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Henry Robinson introduced our new Commissioner Jim Hines who helped <br />out with the Correction Officer Test.. <br />Henry Robinson said that the Correction Officer Test was given on <br />January 8, 1992 at the North Olmsted Community Cabin. The testing <br />company who provided the test is the International Personnel <br />Management Association (IPMA). There were 55 candidates who took <br />the test and everything went well. We received the scores back from <br />the scoring company and we will go over the results after this <br />meeting. <br />The Police Entry Level Police Examination is scheduled for <br />March 10, 1992 at 7:00 pm at the North Olmsted High School <br />Cafeteria. The ads will run in the newspapers starting February 2, <br />1992. Applications can be picked up starting February 3 - 21 at <br />City Hall. <br />Mr. Gundy is still reviewing the list that Ron Wilamosky sent Civil <br />Service.with regards to who has Union/Non-Union Coverage. The <br />Commission will then get together with the Law Director and discuss <br />who should/should not be classified. <br />The Civil Service Commission will give the Building Inspector test <br />on March 30, 1992 7:00 pm at the Community Cabin. We will give the <br />paragraph essay test which will be graded by a professional scorer. <br />The testing company is Cooperative Personnel Services CPS out of CA. <br />This test will cost the city $300 to prepare the test and $12 for <br />each candidate who takes the test. <br />The Rules and Regulations Handbook was distributed to certain <br />individuals to make any necessary changes/additions that they feel <br />are necessary. There were alot of changes made. The changes will <br />be made as soon as possible. and then.the handbook will be reviewed <br />by the Commission one last time. and then distributed. <br />
