The members discussed the situation. Both <br />gentleman brought with them proof of certification and explained,theyentered the academy <br />through Open Enrollment.' It was clarified a person entering ."through Open Enrollment does not <br />receive the certificate until they are appointed toa'department. Mr. Morgan advised a dispatcher <br />had told him the packet was acceptable provided a verification of certification is presented at the <br />time of the test. Mr. Cummings noted the packets were rejected because of the way it was marked <br />down. The commissioners assessed the situation and believed these two gentlemen should be <br />permitted to test. <br />E. Cummings motioned to allow Mr. Brett Morgan and Mr. Eric Morgan to participate in the <br />examination process. The motion was seconded by L. Zolar and unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Cummings re4d a letter from Mr. Bielozer in reference to extra credit for degrees. Mr. <br />Bielozer believed the test is being held in a strange spot as most people graduate in May and June. <br />He argued that people in his position should be granted extra credit points. Mrs. Benjamin <br />wondered if legally extra credit can be granted to people in this position. Mrs. Zolar questioned if <br />a change in this area could affect other people.
