CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SPECIAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES - MARCH 10, 2014 7:00 P.M. L ROLL CALL: Chairman J. Barrett called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. PRESENT: J. Barrett, M. Hayes, K. Rahm ALSO PRESENT: Director of Human Resources C. Farver, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, Firefighter M. Peters, Firefighter M. O'Donnell, Firefighter B. Shlapack, S. Shlapack, Firefighter B. Gallagher, Firefighter D. Boatman, Firefighter A. Hudak, S. Hudak, S. Barrett and Civil Service Secretary D. Eccleston II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: III. COMMUNICATIONS: IV. OLD BUSINESS: Promotional Fire Lieutenant Examination Results and Eligible List The Commission received the results from Poly -Tech for the Promotional Fire Lieutenant Examination, Chairman Barrett reviewed the results with the Commission: ranking #6 is Adam Hudak with a final score of 88.220%; ranking #5 is Matthew Peters with a final score of 95.840%; ranking #4 is Matt O'Donnell with a final score of 96.260%; ranking #3 is David Boatman with a final score of 97.000%; ranking #2 is Carl Schanz with a final score of 101.260%; and ranking #.1 is Brian Shlapack with a final score of 101.640%. The final scores include the efficiency and seniority extra credits. Chairman Barrett said congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated. Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to accept the results of the Promotional Firefighter Lieutenant Examination. Motion passed unanimously. Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to certify the Promotional Fire Lieutenant Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Examination The Commission has before them the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic packet with a test date of June 7, 2014. General discussion commenced regarding cell phones, agility certifications, contents in application packet,lPMA test, and the calendar.
