CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES - DECEMBER 21, 2015 7:00 P.M. I. ROLL CALL: Chairman J, Barrett called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: J. Barrett and K. Rahm ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director C. Farver, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, Safety/Service Director D. Glauner, Planning & Development Director K. Wenger, Clerk of Commissions D. Rote, J. Rote, Firefighter T. Kirkpatrick, Attorney B. Bryan, S. Barrett, and Civil Service Secretary S. Berkley II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of November 16, 2015 meeting be approved as received. Motioned passed unanimously. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 23 items of correspondence received and 59 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. IV. OLD BUSINESS:. Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible_ List Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to remove Jonathon Secue and Benjamin Poole from the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List due to the receipt of voluntary removal letters according to Rule VII, Section 10 and to accept and amend the Entry - Level Firefighter/Paramedie Entry -Level Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to certify the names of Joseph Shuerger, Eric Bartinelli and Thomas Zimmerman to the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List and accept the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. V. NEW BUSINESS: Abolishment of Position of Clerk of Commissions Director of Planning and Development Wenger provided the Commission with a memo explaining the request to abolish the position of the Clerk of Commissions. Memo provides a statement of rational and is incorporated by reference.
