CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 18, 1987 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Britton, M. Case, D. Pattison, and B. Zergott <br />Also present: Safety Director H. Becker, Chief Building Inspector D. Sanker, <br />and Clerk of Commissions B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />M. Case moved to approve the Minutes of January 17, 1987 as presented, <br />seconded by D. Pattison, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />1) Space Age Industrial Design, Bradley Road (southwest of 31157) <br />Ground sign. <br />Approved as presented with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Space Age Industrial Design, Bradley Road (southwest of 31157) <br />Proposal to construct building in Limited Industrial Area. <br />(Heard by Planning Commission February 24, 1987). <br />Mr. Del Giudice, architect, and Mr. Hardy, owner, presented plans for <br />the 6,000 square foot building. The office area in the front of the <br />building will be a Claycraft cranbrook buckskin brick with an oriental <br />mansard in dark bronze and Anderson style windows with dark bronze trim. <br />The rear shop area will be in a light buff split face block and has no <br />windows. The lot is heavily wooded and they plan to keep as many trees <br />as possible in the front set back with some landscaping at the front, <br />either yews or some other plantings which will grow in shade. Rear area, <br />including the required buffer area, will be left natural. Dumpster in <br />the rear will be enclosed with a board on board fence on two sides; lights <br />under the soffit will illuminate the entrance in the front and parking <br />area on the side; one pole light will be in front,and one handicapped <br />parking space will be in front of the building. The ground sign which <br />is identical to the sign at their present location is carved, painted <br />wood set in a landscaped area and lighted with flood lights on both sides. <br />Mr. Hardy advised the Board that the adjacent homeowners had indicated <br />to him that they preferred to leave the front and rear areas natural <br />with the existing trees. There is a home to the side of this property <br />but Mr. Hardy believes that he just wants the trees and does not want a <br />
