PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF MAY 8, 2019 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Malone called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the Council Caucus Room and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: Greg Malone, Darrick Matthews, Dave Anderson, Paul Schumann <br />Absent: Julie Nader, Tom Patton, Don Rerko <br />Staff. Planning Director Kim Lieber, Administrative Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to excuse the absences of Ms. Nader, Mr. <br />Patton and Mr. Rerko, motion passed 4-0. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to approve the Planning and Design <br />Commission minutes of February 27, 2019, motion passed 4-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />19-13653; Omni Senior Livinz; 29731-29851 Lorain Road <br />Representative: Gary Biales, Omni Senior Living, 23205 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, OH <br />Proposal consists of consolidating eight parcels (PPN 234-14-005, -006, -007, -008, -009, -010, - <br />017, -021) resulting in a single parcel of approximately 8.6156 acres with 644.17' frontage on <br />Lorain Road. All parcels are zoned B-2 Office/Service District. <br />Mr. Biales said eight properties were purchased from three owners. The consolidation was a <br />contingency of the development plan approval. The proposed plat was submitted to the <br />Engineering Department and the county to get approval before coming before the Commission. <br />Mr. Chinchilla, 6197 Brighton Drive, was concerned about the maintenance of the trees that abut <br />their property based on the trees that have been removed so far. There is a swale that used to <br />collect garbage and blocked the storm sewer drains. He asked how the stormwater would be <br />taken care of near his property. Mr. Biales said he would meet with him after the meeting to <br />discuss. Mr. Malone said the stormwater issues were discussed and addressed in the development <br />plan review. Ms. Lieber let Mr. Chinchilla know that the approved development plans are <br />available for review. She added that many of the neighbors were at the meetings and shared his <br />concerns which were addressed in the approved development plan. Mr. Schumann added that the <br />project will improve stormwater management in the area due to stringent code requirements. <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve the consolidation of eight <br />parcels (PPN 234-14-005, -006, -007, -008, -009, -010, -017, -021) resulting in a single parcel <br />of approximately 8.6156 acres with 644.17' frontage on Lorain Road, motion passed 4-0. <br />
