BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF OCTOBER 7, 2019 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Vice Chairman Allain called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Present: Bob Papotto, Ralph Mackey, Eric Allain <br />Absent: Mike Raig, Dan Rahm <br />Staff Law Director Michael Gareau, Jr., Assistant Building Commissioner Dan Russell, Administrative <br />Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Mackey moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to approve the Building & Zoning Board of <br />Appeals minutes of September 9, 2019, motion passed 3-0. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />19-15033; Anita Fox; 26482 Fairfax Lane <br />Representative: Anita Fox, owner <br />Proposal consists of a second driveway. Property is zoned A -One Family Residence. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A variance for a second driveway curb cut, code permits 1 driveway curb cut per residential lot, <br />applicant shows 2, Section 1135.02(B)(2)(a). <br />Ms. Fox explained that the lot is a corner lot in the Sandy Ridge Development. The driveway is <br />perpendicular to the garage which makes it difficult to access Fairfax Lane. She did not think the <br />proposed driveway to Darby Lane would look out of place in the neighborhood. Mr. Papotto thought the <br />proposal made sense and probably should have been built that way initially, Mr. Mackey agreed. <br />Mr. Papotto moved, seconded by Mr. Mackey, to approve the following variance for 19-15033; <br />Anita Fox; 26482 Fairfax Lane: <br />1. A variance for a second driveway curb cut, code permits 1 driveway curb cut per residential <br />lot, applicant shows 2, Section 1135.02(B)(2)(a). <br />Motion passed 3-0. <br />19-15149; David Hoelter; 4985 Porter Road <br />Representatives: David Hoelter, owner; Thomas Herbster, 4965 Porter Road <br />Proposal consists of a picket fence in the front yard. Property is zoned B -One Family Residence. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A 6 in. variance for a picket fence installed in front yard; code permits 30 in., applicant shows 36 <br />in., Section 1135.02(D)(2). <br />
