LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 8, 2021 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Neville called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm via online public meeting. <br />Present: David Neville, Jim Morse, James Gearhart, Paul Schumann, Gretchen Schuler, <br />Elizabeth Cardarelli, Tom Dubowski (arrived during Year in Review discussion) <br />Absent: Duane Limpert, Sarah Egan -Reeves <br />Staff. Planning and Community Development Director Kim Lieber, Assistant Law Director <br />Bryan O'Malley, Administrative Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />COMMISSION ORGANIZATION <br />Mr. Schumann moved, seconded by Ms. Schuler, to nominate Mr. Neville for Chair and <br />Mr. Morse for Vice Chair, motion passed 6-0. <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to approve the Landmarks Commission <br />minutes of September 21, 2020, motion passed 6-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />21-18444; Zoltan Laszlo, 27554 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Representative: Zoltan Laszlo, owner <br />Mr. Laszlo is proposing to extend the kitchen ten feet into the rear yard. The roof and siding will <br />match the rest of the house. The window on the east side of kitchen will remain but there will not <br />be a window on the rear of the addition. Mr. Neville pointed out that it is the house west of the <br />library and he thought it would be difficult to see the back of the home from the street. Mr. <br />Laszlo did not think the neighbors would be impacted by the project. Mr. Schumann did not <br />think the project would impact the view from the street. <br />Mr. Schumann moved, seconded by Ms. Cardarelli, to approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness for a kitchen addition in the rear yard for 21-18444; Zoltan Laszlo; 27554 <br />Butternut Ridge Road, motion passed 6-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />2020 Year in Review <br />Ms. Lieber reminded the Commission that the annual report format was updated a few years ago <br />to include local and national news. Mr. Gearhart pointed out a couple typos and a revised, more <br />complete draft will be sent out for further review before images are added. <br />
