LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF MAY 10, 2021 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Neville called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm via online public meeting. <br />Present: David Neville, Jim Morse, Tom Dubowski, Sarah Egan -Reeves, James Gearhart, Duane <br />Limpert, Gretchen Schuler <br />Absent: Elizabeth Cardarelli, Paul Schumann <br />Staff. Planning Director Kim Lieber, Administrative Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Mr. Morse, to excuse the absences of Ms. Cardarelli <br />and Mr. Schumann, motion passed 7-0. <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Ms. Schuler, to approve the Landmarks Commission <br />minutes of March 8, 2021, motion passed 7-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />21-19131; Edward & Judy Spisak; 27111 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Representative: Edward Spisak, owner <br />Mr. Spisak proposes to change the color of the house from yellow to Tuscany Clay, a beige <br />color. He pointed out that other homes on Butternut Ridge have similar colored homes. Mr. <br />Neville asked if the applicant will replace the siding since a sample of vinyl siding was provided. <br />Mr. Spisak is painting the existing aluminum siding the color of the siding sample that was <br />provided. Mr. Neville noted that a lot of colors were used on mid-century ranch homes but he <br />was not sure if the aluminum siding was authentic to the home. He did not think the color change <br />would impact the historic authenticity of the home. Mr. Dubowski asked if changes were <br />proposed to the driveway since it was checked off on the application, Mr. Spisak said that was an <br />error and he has no plans for the driveway at this time. <br />Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness for painting aluminum siding for 21-19131; Edward & Judy Spisak; <br />27111 Butternut Ridge Road, motion passed 7-0. <br />Remember When? Series <br />Ms. Lieber asked if the Commission was interested in renewing the Remember When? Celebrate <br />North Olmsted social media series that was done last year. Mr. Neville was in favor of doing <br />another version of the series, Mr. Morse, Ms. Schuler and Ms. Egan -Reeves agreed. Ms. Egan - <br />Reeves wanted to pair it with something new going on in the city so people feel like the <br />community is moving forward. Mr. Neville said there are themes that can be tied to current <br />events, such as the Kiwanis Pocket Park construction. Mr. Dubowski suggested highlighting past <br />
