CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES - JULY 26, 2021 7:00 P.M. 1. ROLL CALL: Chairman W. Brake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: W. Brake and A. Campbell ALSO PRESENT: I luman Resources Director M. Gallo, Asst. Law Director 13. O'Malley, Police Chief B. Wagner and I IR Administrative Secretary D. Eccleston Il. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, that the June 28, 2021 meeting minutes be approved as received. Motioned passed unanimously. Ill. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 6 items of correspondence received and 27 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. IV. OLD BUSINESS: Lateral Patrol Officer Eligible List General discussion commenced regarding the Lateral Patrol Officer Eligible List. Original rank #3, #16 and #24 will be removed from the list due to voluntary removals and failed polygraph. Three names will need to be certified by the Commission: original rank #37, 438 and #39. General discussion resumed regarding the 100 -point system for extra credit for the Lateral candidates. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to remove candidates original rank 43, #l6 and #24 for reasons mentioned above and to certify candidates original rank #37, #38 and #39 to the appointing authority. Motion passed unanimously. Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List General discussion commenced regarding the Lateral Firelighter/1'aramedic L;ligible hist. Original rank 92 and 46 are voluntary removals. The Commission will need to certify original rank #7 and #8. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to update the Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible hist by removing original rank #2 and 46 as described above and certify original rank #7 and #8. Motion passed unanimously.
