CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES - OCTOBER 16, 2023 7:00 P.M. I. ROLL CALL: Madam Chair called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan, T. Fratini ALSO PRESENT: Police Officer N. Dolbin, Police Officer M. France, Sergeant C. Fioritto, Public Safety Director J. Scofield, Human Resources Director L. Kidd, Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley, and HR Administrative Secretary D. Eccleston II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to approve the minutes of September 18, 2023. Motion passed unanimously. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 6 items of correspondence received and 17 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. IV. OLD BUSINESS: Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List The Administration hired Jonathan Jereb on October 2, 2023 and hired Kyle Storm on October 16, 2023. Director Scofield made an announcement that our first female firefighter has started today and the Administration has made a conditional offer to a second female firefighter last week. V. NEW BUSINESS: Appeals from Disqualified Candidates on Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List Mr. Dolbin objected to his removal from the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List and is looking for clarification. He reviewed the rules and said that he did not provide inaccurate or false information. He was not given the opportunity to voluntarily remove his name from the eligible list. Sergeant Fioritto was sworn in and gave his testimony. Mr. Dolbin cross examined Sergeant Fioritto. Mr. Dolbin was sworn in and gave his testimony. He is requesting to overturn his removal from the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List and placed back on the eligibility list.
