CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br /> MINUTES-NOVEMBER 17, 2025 <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan,T. Fratini <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Public Safety Director J. Scofield, Human Resources Director L. Kidd, Rec <br /> and Public Engagement Director T. Pinchek, Assistant Law Director B. <br /> O'Malley, and HR Administrative Secretary J. Davenport <br /> 1I. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Commissioner, seconded by Commissioner to approve the minutes of October 20, 2025 <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> There were 14 items of correspondence received and 4 items of correspondence sent out by the <br /> Civil Service Commission. <br /> IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Firefighter/Paramedic Entry—Level Exam <br /> At the previous meeting the Civil Service Secretary was asked to make a calendar and ads for the <br /> Firefighter/Paramedic Entry Level Testing. The ad on Cle.com and social media will go out on <br /> November 23, 2025,the applications will be available online on NTN November 24, 2025 as well <br /> as letters going out to the colleges. The deadline to apply will be January 11,2026 and the results <br /> will be certified at the January meeting held on January 26, 2026. We previously made motion on <br /> the passing score of 70% and 25% weighted score for each phase of the test. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to accept the calendar and <br /> ads for the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry Level Testing. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Fire Captain Exam <br /> At the previous meeting the Civil Service Secretary was asked to make a calendar for the Fire <br /> Captain Promotional Exam. Letters of Intent will be distributed on November 19, 2025, Reference <br /> material will be posted on November 26, 2025,deadline to submit letters of intent will be <br /> November 12,2025. March 5,2026 will be the written exam and the same day will be the protest, <br /> that is how Clancy prefers to do it. If a protest is needed there will be a meeting on March 16. <br /> PRADCO oral assessments will be held March 30 through April 17, 2026 and following the final <br /> reports on or around April 30,2026 there will be a meeting to certify the list on May 18, 2026. <br />
