CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2005 —171 BY: Mayor O'Grady AN ORDINANCE MOVING THE DIVISION OF SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES, AND CLARIFYING THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART FOR THE DIVISION, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, Article V, Section 1 of the Charter empowers the City Council to organize and reorganize the departments and divisions of the City government; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, based upon the recommendation of the Mayor, to move the division of Springvale from the Department of Public Safety to the Department of Community Life Services; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Sections 139.09, 139.10, 139.11 and 139.13 of Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Public Safety," be and hereby are repealed. SECTION 2: That there be and hereby is created new Section 163.07 of Chapter 163 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Community Life Services, which shall read in its entirety as follows: 163.07 DIVISION OF SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE. (a) There is hereby established with the Department of Community Life Services a Division entitled the Division of Springvale Golf Course. (b) The Division shall be headed by a Facility Operations Manager, a full -time employee, who shall be appointed by and shall be answerable to the Director of the Department of Community Life Services. (c) There is also created within the Division the following full -time and part-time positions all of which shall be appointed by and answerable to the Director of the Department of Community Life Services, but shall be actively supervised by the Facility Operations Manager: one (1) full -time or part -time Assistant Manager/Marketin and Events Coordinator, one (1) full -time Grounds Supervisor /Assistant Manager; one (1) full -time Assistant Grounds Supervisor, one (1) part -time Ballroom/Golf Events Coordinator; one (1) part -time Head Chef; one (1) part -time Assistant Chef, and one (1) full -time Custodial Supervisor. (d) The Director is also authorized to employ part -time and seasonal operations support personnel at the Division, as needed, within the appropriations established by City Council. (e) The duties and qualifications of the Assistant Grounds Supervisor shall be as follows.
