Resolution No. 2005 -143 WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to ratify the actions taken by the Director of Public Safety and the Mayor, and to retroactively authorize the contract, and payment upon said contract, which the Mayor signed in order to commence the said emergency roof repairs at the Recreation Center; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the actions of the Director of Public Safety and the Mayor in arranging for emergency repairs to the roof of the Recreation Complex at the Indoor Pool area, including the execution by the Mayor of the contract with Comm Steel Incorporated, attached hereto as Exhibit A, are hereby ratified and approved as authorized actions of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make payments to Comm Steel Incorporated in accordance with the terms and conditions of said contract. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective so that emergency repairs to the Roof Girder at the Indoor Pool area at the Recreation Center may be effected before the onset of inclement weather in the Fall Season; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
