0 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005 - 134 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RENEW THE <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND KARRIE SKALL TIPTON <br />FOR THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL GYMNASTICS <br />INSTRUCTION SERVICES AT THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />RECREATION CENTER FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO (2) YEARS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City and Karrie Skall Tipton have been parties to a contract, <br />wherein Tipton has provided gymnastics program services at the City's Recreation Center <br />since 1999; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety that the <br />contract between the City and Ms. Tipton be renewed for an additional two -year term, <br />retroactively effective from September 1, 2005 to August 31, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to dispense with initiating an RFP <br />process for said services and to approve and authorize the renewal contract with Ms. <br />Tipton in substantially the form as attached hereto, to provide for the contract to be <br />retroactively effective as of September 1, 2005, and to authorize the Mayor to execute <br />said contract; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to execute a <br />contract with Karrie Skall Tipton in substantially the form and substance as evidenced in <br />the Contract Authorization for the Provision of Gymnastic Equipment, Instructions and <br />Related Services to the City of North Olmsted, attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit A." <br />Said Contract shall be for a two -year term effective retroactively to September 1, 2005 <br />and, unless further renewed, concluding on August 31, 2005. <br />
