Ordinance No. 2005 -78 <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />"153.01 ORGANIZATION AND SECRETARY. <br />The Civil Service Commission previously created by the Charter in Article <br />VI, Sections 1 through 7, inclusive, with three members appointed by the <br />Mayor for six -year terms, shall elect a chairman by majority vote and may <br />appoint a secretary, who shall not be a member of the Commission. I€4he <br />Commissien does not exer-eise its authority to appe. <br />In exercising its <br />authority to appoint a Secretary, who, pursuant to Article VI, Section <br />2 of the Charter, may hold other municipal office or employment, the <br />Civil Service Commission may, with the consent of the Director of <br />Personnel and Administrative Services, appoint the Secretary to the <br />Director of Personnel and Administrative Services, who shall then, as <br />part of the duties of his position in the Department of Personnel and <br />Administrative Services, perform also the duties of Secretary to the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />the earliest period allowed by law. <br />1 <br />PASSED: % o�G D•5 <br />ATTEST.' <br />BARBARA L.
