Ordinance No. 2005 -70 <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The spraying of pesticides within the City of North Olmsted by the <br />Cuyahoga County Board of Health in an attempt to control the spread of the West Nile virus is <br />prohibited at this time and until further notice, and the Mayor is hereby requested to immediately <br />so notify the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. <br />SECTION 2: The City administration is hereby requested to continue and/or implement <br />larvicide treatment throughout the City and to establish means and procedures for the education <br />of the residents of the City on how they can best protect themselves. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to <br />protect the health and safety of the residents, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two- thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: cctDx -' ✓ax t.
