Ordinance No. 2005 -52 (b) The motor vehicles assigned to the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool shall be available for sign -out use by the Mayor and each of the City Directors. The Director of Public Service shall establish rules and regulations for the use of vehicles assigned to the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool. Said rules shall include a provision that the Mayor and any Director may sign out any of the three vehicles assigned to the pool, on an as needed basis, for the purpose of conducting official City business during working hours, which shall include driving to and from seminars." BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: "141.09 ADMINISTRATIVE MOTOR VEHICLE POOL. (a) The Director of Public Service shall have the duty of establishing and maintaining an Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool, which shall be under his direction and control. The pool shall initially be comprised of the three (3) Service Department motor vehicles that previously were assigned to the Mayor, the Director of Public Service and Public Safety for their exclusive use. The Director of Public Service may, from time to time, replace the motor vehicles assigned to the pool with other vehicles owned by the City, when necessary and in order to insure that the vehicles in the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool are of appropriate quality and service for the City's administrative officials. (b) The motor vehicles assigned to the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool shall be available for sign -out use by the Mayor and each of the City Directors. The Director of Public Service shall establish rules and regulations for the use of vehicles assigned to the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool. Said rules shall include a provision that the Mayor and any Director may sign out any of the three vehicles assigned to the pool, on an as needed basis, for the purpose of conducting official City business during working hours, which shall include driving to and from seminars. Said rules shall further include a provision that the Mayor may take home overnight and over weekends, including holidays, the City vehicle which the Director of Public Service assigns to the Mavor's use for the purpose of conducting City business." SECTION 2: That the operation of any Ordinance, or part of any Ordinance in conflict or inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that this legislation must go into effect immediately in order to enable the new City Mayor to effectively conduct the important business of the City in the most efficient manner, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. 2 .:..,. .. r s. .�. ,,-.:r a<<a x.N90.'k€'"!xu .•iXp4.".md+3lhe:;Ni..: c.
