PRELIMINARY RC 5521.01 ORDINANCE No. PID No. CTY- RTE -SEC BY: Mayor Musial 2004 -138 75516 CUY- 252-0.00/4.18 The following is an ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the Local Public Agency (LPA), in the matter of the stated described project (Improvement of Great Northern Boulevard from Butternut Ridge Road to Country Club Boulevard), and declaring an emergency. SECTION I - Project Description WHEREAS, the STATE has identified the need for the described project: Improve the riding quality of Great Northern Boulevard (SR -252) from Butternut Ridge Road to Country Club Boulevard a distance of 0.36 mile more or less in the City of North Olmsted. This work is part of a larger ODOT project that involves the resurfacing of Columbia Road in the City of North Olmsted, the City of Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Township. NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. SECTION II - Consent Statement Being in the public interest, the LPA gives consent to the Director of Transportation to complete the above described project. SECTION III - Cooperation Statement The LPA shall cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the above described project as follows: The LPA agrees to assume and contribute twenty percent (20 %) of the cost and expense of the construction phase of this improvement determined to be eligible for State Highway Funds. The LPA further agrees to pay One Hundred Percent (100 %) of the cost of those features requested by the LPA which are determined by the State and Federal Highway Administration to be unnecessary for the Project. The LPA further agrees to pay One Hundred Percent (100 %) of the cost to install and /or repair curb ramps at all necessary intersections to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
