CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005 — 36 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A RENEWED SERVICE <br />CONTRACT WITH BUCKEYE POWER SALES TO MAINTAIN <br />NUMEROUS EMERGENCY GENERATORS OWNED BY THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED'S WASTE WATER SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City entered into an Agreement with Buckeye Power Sales (herein <br />Buckeye) to maintain numerous emergency generators owned by the City of North Olmsted's <br />Waste Water Systems Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the City depends upon Buckeye as an authorized service and repair <br />company, for its emergency generators; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the knowledge and expertise of contractor, as well as licensing <br />constraints, it is not economical or efficient to solicit these maintenance services for the Waste <br />Water Systems Department through other contractors; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, based upon the recommendations of the <br />Service Director, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a maintenance services contract with <br />Buckeye to continue to provide service and repair of numerous emergency generators owned by <br />the Waste Water Systems Department in the amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty -one <br />Dollars and Seventy -three Cents ($2,431.73); <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to, upon approval of the <br />City's Board of Control, to enter into a contract with Buckeye Power Sales for service and repair <br />of numerous emergency generators owned by the Waste Water Systems Department. Said <br />contract shall be in a form and substance approved by the Director of Law, in substantially the <br />same form as Exhibit A attached hereto. Expenditures made by the City pursuant to said <br />contract shall not exceed Two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty -one Dollars and Seventy -three <br />Cents ($2,431.73). <br />
