Division Heads, residents, <br />officials on problems that <br />zoning, building, etc. <br />builders, etc. and other proper adminisirative <br />arise in the CITY perta.ir.ung to engineering, <br />(b) Prepare, as needed and as directed and/or authorized by the Director of <br />Public Service, formative or preliminary sketches, layouts, estimates or <br />reports, concerning the advisability of proceeding with any public <br />improvements contemplated by the CITY. <br />(c) Make recomrnendations, as directed and/or authorized by the Director of <br />Public Service, regarding the engineering features of dedicatian plans, <br />utility plans and such other requests of persons or firms as will require the <br />use of the special knowledge possessed by the CTTY ENGINEER and/or <br />ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER. <br />(d) Attend all Pla,nning and Design Cominission meetings. Attend Council <br />meetings and meetings of other Boards and Commissions as needed and as <br />directed and/or authorized by the Director of Public Service. The Director <br />of Public Service, in b.i.s sole discretion, sha11 determine when such <br />attendance at such other rneetings is needed. <br />(e) In providing the basic services set forth in paragraphs (a) through (d) <br />above, CITY ENGINEER and ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER shall be <br />available and accessible to the Director of Public Service and #o such other <br />officials as axe authorized by the Director of Public Service four (4) days <br />per week for four (4) hours on each day. CITY ENGINEER andlor <br />ASSISTANT CITY BNGTNEER may, but are not required, to be present <br />at City Hall on these days, but shall insure that they are nonetheless at all <br />times designa.ted by the Director of Public Service available and accessible <br />to the Directoz of Public Service. In providing the basic services set forth <br />in paragraph (d) above, CITY ENGINEER and ASSISTANT CITY <br />ENGINEER shall be available to attend aJ.I such evening meetings as <br />directed and/or authorized by the Director of Public Service. When the <br />CITY ENGINEER and ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER are temporarily <br />tulavailable on such days or evenings to provide such basic services due to <br />illness, vacation or similar events, they may designate a qualified engineer <br />in the CONSULTING ENGINEER's finn to temporarily provide such <br />basic services. <br />Other than the reta.zning fee aiid PERS contri.bution stated above, CITY ENGINEER aud <br />ASSiSTANT CTTY ENG].NEER shall not receive aily other wages or beiiefits fiom the <br />CT'TY pursuant to this Agreemeilt.
