_ , . .m?.. <br />? .? <br />Resolution No. 2007-111 <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize the Director of Planning to <br />prepare, sign and submit an application for Community Development Block Grant funds for <br />fiscal year 2008 on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for the project to reconstruct two <br />segments of Kennedy Ridge Road as above described immediately east and west of I-480 Great <br />Northern Boulevard Interchange, in the maximum amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($100,000.00); does further authorize the use of matching City funds for the project as described <br />in the application, to-wit: approximately One Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($137,500.00) for construction costs and an additional amount as yet undetermined for <br />project administration costs; and finally does authorize the Mayor to accept the grant and execute <br />a contract and any and all other necessary papers, if the grant awarded is in the maximum <br />amount, to wit: One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). <br />SECTION 2: That this Council does, in accordance with the rules and requirements for <br />CDBG applications, and in order to satisfy any and all prerequisites to qualify the same, hereby <br />authorize and direct the Director of Planning to coordinate with the Director of Public Services, <br />as may be necessary, to develop the said project proposal so as to meet and/or exceed the CDBG <br />application standards, and for the latter Director to provide any and all necessary information and <br />assistance to the Director of Planning in establishing, documenting, and fulfilling the CDBG <br />application specifications for the said project proposal. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order that the City <br />may make a timely application for Community Development Block Grant funds on or before <br />November 26, 2007, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: /L, ?Ico17 <br />AT ST: <br />/ <br />B.ARBARA L.
