<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -196 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FROM LAND <br />APPRAISAL FIRMS FOR LAND APPRAISAL SER VICES <br />FOR THE NEW FIRE STATION NO. 2 PROJECT, FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH THE LAND APPRAISAL FIRM SELECTED IN THE <br />RFP PROCESS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a request for proposals from land <br />appraisal firms for land appraisal services for the New Fire Station No. 2 Project; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to request proposals for said professional services in accardance with the request <br />for proposals materials prepared by the City Engineer; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is authorized <br />to request proposals ("RFP") from land appraisal firms for land appraisal services, in <br />accordance with the Request for Proposals (attached hereto as Exhibit A), for the New <br />Fire Station No. 2 Project. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the land appraisal firm selected in the <br />RFP process; and that such contract be in substantially the same form as the City's <br />standard professional services agreement, with only such changes to be hereinafter made <br />as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of <br />Law. The character of any such changes, as not being substantially adverse to the City, <br />shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the <br />approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
