<br />Ordinance No. 2004-185 <br />Page 2 <br />Be amended, and, as amended, shall read as follows: <br />"143.01 CLERK OF COMMISSIONS. <br />(a) There is hereby created the full-time position of Clerk of <br />Commissions, which shall be appointed by and be answerable to the <br />Director of Planning. <br />(b) The Clerk of Commissions shall be required to attend all <br />meetings, prepare and type minutes of such meetings, and perform other <br />duties consistent with expediting the duties performed by the various City <br />boards and commissions, except for the Civil Service Commission. The <br />Director of Planning may from time to time require the Clerk of <br />Commissions to perform additional duties consistent with the position." <br />SECTION 2: That Section 153.01 of the City Administrative Code, entitled <br />"Organization and Secretary," which presently reads as follows: <br />153.01 ORGANIZATION AND SECRETARY. <br />The Civil Service Commission previously created by the Charter in <br />Article VI, Sections 1 through 7, inclusive, with three members appointed <br />by the Mayor for six-year terms, shall elect a chairman by majority vote <br />and may appoint a secretary, who shall not be a member of the <br />Commission. <br />Be amended, and, as amended, shall read as follows: <br />153.01 ORGANIZATION AND SECRETARY. <br />The Civil Service Commission previously created by the Charter in <br />Article VI, Sections 1 through 7, inclusive, with three members appointed <br />by the Mayar far six-year terms, shall elect a chairman by majority vote <br />and may appoint a secretary, who shall not be a member of the <br />Commission. If the Commission does not exercise its authority to <br />apuoint a Secretarv to the Civil Service Commission, then the <br />Director of Personnel and Administrative Services shall assign a <br />member of his or her staff to perform secretarial duties for the <br />Commission. <br />SECTION 3: That all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, inconsistent or <br />in conflict with this Ordinance, shall, to the extent of such inconsistency or <br />conflict, be repealed. <br />SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: A-i-,? ?-0 0 ?
