Council rejects the arbitrator's recommendation, as herein before provided, the initial procedure <br />of this paragraph shall be reinstated until a recommendation is accepted or an agreement is <br />reached. The City shall not arbitrarily or capriciously reclassify employees ar change job <br />descriptions during the life of this Agreement. <br />ARTICLE 19: HOSPITALIZATION <br />Section 1. The City shall provide either individual or Family medical insurance coverage <br />at the employees aption for each full-time employee, The employer shall have the option of <br />seeking alternate health insurance providers or plans and will attempt to offer at least two (2) <br />different plans. Basic hospitalization will ba consistent with and similar to those plans offered on <br />July 1,1994. Basic hospitalizatian will be that offered to all other employees of fhe city of North <br />Olmsted. The employer has the right to negotiate co-payment and prescription drug rates with <br />providers to lower the cost to the emp(oyer as well as the employee contribution. <br />Section 2. Effective July 1, 2001 through the duration of this agreement, full-time <br />employee(s) participating within either an individual or family plan shall contribute an amount <br />equal to thirteen (13%) percent of the plan premium or expected cost of such medical plan and <br />the employer shall contribute eighty-seven (87%) percent of such cost, The employee <br />contribution shall be withheld via payroll deduction not later than the first pay period each <br />month. <br />Section 3. Expected cost or premium is defined as the cost of all medical, hospital. <br />prescription drug and related fees including but not limited to administration fees. <br />Section 4. The emplayer reserves the right to establish all plans, enrollment periods and <br />regulations. <br />Section 5. The employer shall make an earnest effort to establish a committee <br />consisting of one (1) representative from each of the City barga+ning units, if they chose to be <br />represented and a minimum of one (1) representative of the employer. The bargaining units <br />role as a participant in the aforementioned committee shall be advisory only. <br />25
