JOB DESCRIPTION: <br />POSITION TITLE: <br />RESPONSIBLE T0: <br />HEATING, VENTILATING & AIR <br />CONDITIONING INSPECTOR <br />BUILDING COMMISSIONER <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />1. Minimum Education - High School or equivalent. <br />2. Minimum six (6) years experience in commercial and residential heating installation. <br />3. Apprenfice heating School or Engineering studies backgrountl relating to HVAC <br />4. Must be able to read plans and specifications. <br />5. Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with the public. <br />6. Must have a thorough knowledge or be prepared to become acquainted with the City of North <br />Olmsted`s heating, ventilating, and other accepted practices. <br />DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: <br />1. Review plans and specifications. Authorizes the issuance of permits for HVAC installations. <br />2. Makes field inspections to determine if HVAC installation meets code requirements, and is built <br />according to plan. <br />3. Evaluates heating applications submitted for permit to tletermine if the system will heat or cool for <br />structure as intended. <br />4. Determines that the air handling equipment has the proper approvals. <br />5. Enforces the National Model Energy Code and the City of North Olmstetl Insulation Cotle, <br />6. Make fieltl inspections of each installation at various stages of completion. <br />7. Keeps records of all permits and inspections made. <br />8. Performs related work as assignetl by the Building Commissioner. <br />9. Other duties, including real property maintenance code duties, as assigned. <br />go <br />
