<br />POSITION TITLE; <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />RESPONSiBLE T0: <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />JOB DESCRIPTION: <br />MAINTENANCE (Recreation Department) <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />MAINTENANCE FOREMAN <br />Experience in general maintenance and janitoriaJ requirements as related to Parks and Recreation <br />grounds and faci(ities. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must have gratluated from <br />High Schoo( or equivafent in experience. Ability to make decisions during emergencies or when problems arise. <br />Knowledge of proper use of tools, light equipment. Possession of a valid operators license. <br />DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: <br />Maintain and operate equipment involved in Park grountl and facility operations. Includes, but is not <br />limited to, pool filtration systems, chlorinator pumps, lawn movers, tractors, trucks, welder, zamboni <br />and compressor. <br />2. Responsible for proper functioning and use of maintenance equipment including zamboni, truck, lawn <br />mower, weedeater, tools, etc. <br />3. Responsible for the general grounds and buitding, and sport facilities upkeep. Maintenance and <br />janitorial tasks include floor care, painting, garbage disposal, grass cutting, window c(eaning, <br />locker/restroom cleaning, lantlscaping, pool vacuuming, ice edging. <br />4. Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance procedures on equipment, structures, electrical, <br />plumbing and heating systems untler the direction of the Maintenance Foreman. <br />5. Load and unload material from trucks. <br />6. Responsible for records tracking pool chemistry, filter operations, building temperature, humidity <br />controls, fuel and vehicle logs and equipment inspections. <br />7. Other reiated work as required. <br />83
