Resolution No. 2004-149 SECTION 2: Tha.t the City of North Olmsted accepts the grant awa,rded by FEMA in the amount of $348,270 for the purchase of computer and dispatch equipment, and mobile radio equipment, for the North Olmsted Fire Department, and authorizes the expenditure of matching funds in the amount of $34,827.00. 5ECTION 3: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement and/or execute any other documents required by FEMA to effectuate receipt of the grant. Any agreement or other document executed by the Mayor sha11 be in a form and substance that is not substantially adverse to the City and which is approved by the Director of Law. The character of the agreement or other document as not being substantially adverse to the City sha11 be evidenced conclusively by its execution by the Mayor and approval by the Director of Law. SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediateiy effective so that the City may accept the grant within the FEMA time deadline which is less than thirty days from introduction of this legislation before Council; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it sha11 take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
