<br />r Resolution No. 2004-143 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize and direct the Director of the <br />Department of Planning to prepare and hereby further authorizes the Mayor of the City of North <br />Olmsted to sign and submit an Application for Community Development Block Grant funds for <br />fiscal year 2005 on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, including the project described as <br />improvement of the paxking area and drives to access the North Olmsted Multi-Service Senior <br />Center, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 and further providing for the participation as <br />described. <br />SECTION 2: That this Council does, in accordance with the rules for and requirements <br />CDBG applications, in order to satisfy any and all prerequisites to qualify same, hereby authorize <br />and direct the Director of Planning to coordinate with the Director of Human Resources, Director <br />of Public Safety and the Director of Public Service, as may be necessary, to develop the Senior <br />Center parking area and drive project proposal in order to meet and exceed the CDBG <br />Application standards, provide any and a11 necessary information and assist the Director of <br />Planning in establishing, documenting, and fulfilling the CDBG Application specifications for <br />the Senior Center parking area and drive project proposal. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order that the City <br />may make a timely application for Community Development Block Grant funds on or before <br />November 12, 2004, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />-d. <br />ATTEST.• <br />? <br />;BARBARA L.
