<br />(a) The day shift schedule hours in the Service Department shall be from 7:00 A.M. <br />to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, year round. <br />(b) From December first (1S`) to March fifteenth (15`h) the second shift hours shall be <br />from 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, inclusive of ineal time, the <br />third shift hours shall be 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Sunday through Friday, <br />inclusive of ineal time. Such 2nd and 3rd shift work will first be given to <br />volunteers, then any vacancies will be filled with the least senior employees <br />within the classification needed. The City will post a notice of intent to accept <br />applications from volunteers five (5) calendar days before tha above referenced <br />shift(s) begin. The notice shall clearly state the date and time the shift will begin <br />and fihe job classification(s) required. <br />(c) Employees assigned to Building Maintenance in the Service Departrnent and all <br />employees in Wastewater Treatment except rotating shift employees shall w.ork <br />from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, year round. <br />(d) Employees assigned to Police Station Maintenance shall work from 7:00 A.M. ta <br />3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, year round. <br />(e) From March sixteenth (16'h) to November thirtieth (30'") the second shift hours <br />sha(I be from 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, inclusive of ineal <br />time, the third shift hours shall be 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Sunday through <br />Friday, inclusive of ineal time. Such shifts shall be filled as outlined in Section (B), <br />above. The 3rd shift shall be iimited to no more than 3. employees. The City shall <br />bid this shift in two week blocks with a fwo week prior notice. For those <br />employees with previously scheduled vacation, they shall be skipped for the <br />duration of their vacation. <br />(f) From March sixteenth (16th) to November thirtieth (30t") there shall be two (2) <br />positions, that shal( work from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, <br />inclusive of ineal time. These two positions shall be made up of one (1) General <br />Service A and one (1) General Service C. Such shifts shall be filled as outfined <br />in Section (b) above. When there is a vacancy within either of these two (2) <br />positions then coverage of work from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. will be handled <br />through the overtime list. <br />(g) Section 1(e) and Section 1(f} shall not be used simultaneously <br />Section 2. The City may not reduce the weekly schedule of work for any department or <br />employee below forty (40) hours without the agreement of the Union. This shall not prevent <br />reduction or cancellation of scheduled hours of work on a temporary basis if an emergency <br />occurs which is beyond the control of the City. <br />Section 3, Employees shall be allowed not less than thirty (30) uninterrupted minutes for a <br />10 <br />: <br />.
