<br />in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance with Article 22. <br />(a) Empioyees of the Waste Water Treatment Plant shall be paid double (2X) the <br />employee's straight time rate of pay for hours worked in addition to regular <br />holiday pay for hours worked on Thanksgiving and Christmas. <br />Section 5. In determining whether an employee has worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any <br />work week, the following shall be considered as hours worked: <br />(a) Hours on a holiday which the employee did not work, but for which he received <br />pay pursuant to Article 22 of this Agreement; <br />(b) Hours of vacation which the employee did not work but for which he received <br />pay pursuant to Article 21 of this Agreement. <br />(c) Hours of jury duty or witness duty which the employee did not work for which he <br />received pay pursuant to Article 26 of this Agreement. There shall be no <br />pyramiding of overtime. <br />Section 6. If a time clock is to be used for a department, all hourly employees shall be required <br />to clock in and clock out at the beginning and end of each shift. Any employee clocking in late <br />will be docked to the nearest tenth of an hour. Any employee working overtime with the <br />approval of supervision shall be paid overtime to the next fienth of an hour. <br />ARTICLE 11 - DISTRIBUTION OF OVERTIME <br />Section 1. The City shall be the sole judge of the necessifiy of overtime. All overtime shall be <br />voluntary and an employee shall have the right to refuse any overtime assignment except for <br />emergencies. An "emergency' is defined as any impairment to City services or operations which <br />cannot be delayed until the beginning of the next regular 'work day. In non-emergency <br />situations, the City may require the least senior qualified employees in the classification who <br />are available, to perForm the overtime work. <br />Section 2. The City shall endeavor, insofar as it may be practicable, to make a generally <br />equitable distribution of overtime work among employees within a classification and department <br />12 <br />0 r?? . *.»M _
