<br />the time they are pertorming service in the uniformed services, for periods af up to one month, <br />for each calendar year in which they are performing service in the uniformed services. In <br />addition, this Article is not intended to supplant any other military leave benefit to which <br />members may be entitled pursuant to any other section of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />ARTICLE 13 - UNPAID SICK LEAVE <br />Section 1. A regular full-time employee who has completed his probationary period and who <br />has exhausted his sick leave shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period not to <br />exceed six (6) months for a continuing disability which is substantiated by credible medical <br />evidence. If the illness or disability continues beyond six (6) months, an additional six manfihs' <br />sick leave may be requested. Employees must submit proof acceptable to the City of his ability <br />to perform the work of his job upon the termination of the sick leave. Any dispute as to the <br />ability of an employee to perform the work of the job shall be determined pursuant to the <br />medical examination procedure in Article 16, Section 3. <br />ARTICLE 14 - UNIUN LEAVE <br />Section 'i. Upon written request from fhe Union, a leave of absence without pay shall be <br />granted to not more than three (3) employees for a period of not in excess of ten (10) days per <br />year each (fifteen (15) days per year in which an employee attends fhe Convention of the <br />International Union), for the purpose of attending Union conventions or other Union activities <br />which necessitate a suspension of active employment. Additional absences for Union business <br />may be permitted as conditions permit, having in mind the volume of work. <br />ARTICLE 15 - PAID SICK LEAVE <br />Section 1.
