attempting to maintain safe working conditions. <br />Section 2. In the event an employee reasonabiy believes that a situation is unsafe, the employee shall <br />notify his supervisor immediately, the supervisor sha41 investigate the situation on the same day or as soon <br />as possible thereafter, and take such steps as are necessary to remedy the unsafe condition. <br />In the event the employee has notified his supervisor of the unsafe conditian, the employee shall <br />not be required to pertorm the work until it has been determined to be safe. However, the employee may <br />be assigned to alternative duties untif such time as an investigation is completed. <br />Section 3. The City wilf provide and maintain safe vehicles for all employees required to use vehicles for <br />their assigned duties. The vehicle status, whether safe or unsafe, will be determined by the Service <br />Director or his designee. <br />Section 4. Employees shall be required to keep the interior of vehicles ciean and clear of objects such as: <br />tools, lunch wrappers, cans, and bottles. Debris such as: lunch wrappers, cans and bottles shall be <br />remaved and properly disposed of by the end of each shift. <br />Section 5. Employees involved in an accident involving a City vehicle, equipment or other property shall <br />notify their supervisor as soon as possible. The employee shall complete a po(ice report and all other <br />report forms required by the employer, <br />Section 6. There shall be a Labor Management Committee established, consisting of three (3) persons <br />from the union and three (3) persons from management. Meetings will be held quarterly or as needed by <br />mutual agreement of the parties to promote a drug free workpface and/or other subjects of mutual interest <br />to the parties. Meefiings shall be held during the last thirty (30) minutes of the shiff. <br />Secfiion 7. The City will provide to all bargaining unit empioyees a Hepatitis B Shot Program if it is <br />requested. <br />ARTICLE 28 - DISABLED EMPLOYEE <br />Section 1. The City and the Union shall attempt through agreement to place partially disabled emplayess <br />on light-work jobs which are available or become available during the term of fiheir disability, and which <br />they are qualified to perform. Section 2. The City will require fhat any employee who is disabled off the job, and is absent from work <br />(sick time or (eave of absence) for a period in excess of 3 days will be required to submit a City furnished <br />31
