CDL, renewais and endorsements. The City agrees to pay the cost to renew all licenses. <br />Section 3. In the event that an employee fases his CDL or is not successful in passing the CDL exam, the <br />employer sha(f p(ace the empioyee into another available job he is capable of perForming at his regular <br />rate of pay, provided it falls within the new job's wage schedule, or at the top of the new job's wage <br />schedule if his regular rate of pay does not fall within the new job's wage schedule. Such placement shail <br />supersede lateral transfers, the posting procedure, and work week or shift preference transfers. <br />Section 4. If no job is available, the employee shall be (aid off until such time as a job is available or until <br />such time as he obtains his CDL, whichever is sooner. Upon obtaining his CDL, the employee shall be <br />returned to his previous job. <br />Sectian 5. Employees required to take the driving portion of CDL exam shall be permitted to use a City <br />vehicle for that exam. <br />Section 6. All employees who have a Class A CDL will receive an additiona( thirty-five ($35) cents per <br />hour for all hours worked. <br />ARTICL.E 44 - UNIFORMS <br />Section 'f. The City shail within fihirty (30) days following the execution of this agreement, poll each <br />member of the bargaining unit regarding their desire to be provided a uniform. For those employees <br />indicating a desire to be provided unifarms, the City shall continue to provide such uniforms. The City shall <br />provide eleven (11) shirts and pants (long sleeve in winter months and short s(eeve in sumrner months) to <br />those employees. All employees that elect to receive unifarms shall wear such uniforms during all working <br />hours. Employees that have elected not to be provided uniforms, may wear T- shirts or other reasonable <br />attire in lieu af the uniform shirt. <br />Section 2. The City shall provide a written Acknowledgment Form to each member of the bargaining unit. <br />The employee shall be required to immediately sign, date and note his choice to either be provided with a <br />uniform or reject acceptance of a City provided uniform for the duration of this agreement and immediately <br />return the form to his supervisor. <br />Section 3. Employees that elected not to be provided uniforms, shall be required to report ready for work <br />in clothing that is neat, clean and untattered. <br />39
