EXHIBIT B-11 <br />JOB CLASSIFICATION LABORER <br />RESPONSIBLE TO OPERATIONS FOREMAN <br />NATURE OF WORK: <br />This is manual labor in the performance of semi-skiiled and limited skilled work of a physically <br />demanding nature. <br />Work involves performing manual work of a semi-skilled nature, which requires special previous <br />training or experience. Although the work is usually performed under the immediate directian of an <br />employee of a higher rank, and instructions are received at the beginning of each new job; constant <br />supervision is not always available for routine and repetitive tasks which can be carried on without, difficulty <br />once they are learned. Automotive equipment may be operated. <br />EXAMPLES OF WORK: <br />• Participates in the work of crews engaged in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant <br />and related facilities; for example: repairs roofs, interior and exterior of plant buildings; paints buildings, <br />trim, walls, and ceilings; replaces windows, doors, and locks; repairs and maintains plant building an'd <br />grounds. <br />• As required, keeps records of all work performed; reports need for materials and equipment on <br />construction and repair jobs. <br />• Assists operators with general duties in.cluding hosing of tanks, equipment, walks, drives, etc. Assist in <br />cleaning duties as required by the nature of the operation of a wastewater treatment plant. <br />• Assist the maintenance division when required with their assigned work. <br />• Duty station with any of the three divisions of the Wastewater Department; namely: operational, <br />maintenance, or system will be assigned by the Superintendent as required. <br />• As required and assigned, will operate automotive equipment; such as pick-up trucks automobiles, <br />dump trucks, dempsey dumpster, etc. When operating trucks greater than five (5) 4 capacity, the. <br />emp(oyee shall be paid `A" Laborer rate. Work will be characterized by the large variety of general <br />duties of a semiskilled nature which must be-done in the Wastewater Division. <br />64 <br />
