base salary and be: 4% after 5 years of cpntinuous <br />service, 5% after 10 years of continuous service, 6% <br />after 15 years of continuons service, 7% after 20 <br />years of continuous service. <br />Normal Work Schedule: One (1) twenty-four (24) consecutive hour shift <br />foliowed by forty-eight {48} hours off duty, However, <br />for reasons of shift transfer, training, Light Duty or <br />emergency disaster, the Fire Chief may change an <br />Employee's work shifts to meet the Emplayer's <br />needs that are affected by a shift transfer, training, <br />Light Duty or emergency disaster. <br />Overtime: Any time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per <br />week or in excess of the daily work schedule agreed <br />to by the Employee and the Employer for Staff <br />Personnet or as specified in Article X. In the case of <br />Line Personnel, any time worked in excess of twenty- <br />four hours in a seventy-two hour period or as <br />specified in Article X. <br />Overtime Rate af Pav: The rate of pay equal to one and one-half (1-1/2) <br />times the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay including <br />Longevity compensation if applicable. Dnring the <br />year 2002, overtime rate of pay only shall be <br />calculated by dividing the annual rate by 2080 hours. <br />Effective January 1, 2003, overtime is to be <br />calculated based upon a 50.4 hour work week except <br />for emergency call-ins and emergency hold-overs <br />which shail be paid at the 40 hour rate. <br />Paramedic Certification: That certification as awarded by the State of Ohio in <br />accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Safety Director: The individual occupying the position of Safety <br />Director of the Employer from time to time. <br />8
