ARTICLE V <br />NONDISCRIMINATION <br />5.1 The parties to this Agreement agree to continue their policy of non-discrimination as required by <br />applicable taw based on sex, race, religion, disability, national origin or age, rega,rding <br />employment, employment advancement, working conditions, rates of pay, acceptance into <br />Association membership or selection for apprentice openings. <br />5.2 The Employer and the Association recognize the right of all Employees to be free to join the <br />Association, should they so desire, and to participate in lawful Associatian activities. The <br />Empioyer and the Association agree that there shall be no discrimination by the Employer or the <br />Association against any Employee because of Association membership or non-membership. <br />ARTICLE VI <br />RULES, REGULATIONS, AND ORDERS <br />6.1 The Association agrees that its members s6a11 comply with all Fire Department rules, regulations <br />and orders, inoluding those relating to conduct and work performance. <br />ARTICLE VII <br />GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />7.1 Any Employee shall have the right to present a Grievance in accordance with the procedure <br />provided herein, free from any interference, ccercion, restraint, discrimination or reprisal. It is the <br />intent and purpose of the parties to this Agreement that all grievances shalt be settled at the lowest <br />possible step of this procedure. <br />12
