I. Take actions to carry out the cnission of the public Employer as a governmentai unit <br />The employer is not required to bazgain on subjects reserved to the management and direction of <br />governmental unit except as affect wages, hours, terms and coaditions of employrnent, and the <br />continuation, modificatian, or deletion of an existing provision of a cotlective bargaining agreement. A <br />public Employee or exclusive representative may raise iegitimate comptaint or file grievance based on the <br />collective bargaining agreement. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />DUES DEDUCTION5 <br />4.1 The Employer agrees to deduct regular monthly Association dues from wages of those Employees <br />who have voluntarily signed dues deduction authorization forms permitting such deductions. The <br />dues dednctions shall be made from the second paycheck of every month. <br />4.2 The Employer agrees to deduci from the salary of any Employee of the Fire Department, who is <br />not a member af tite Association, to pay to the Association by way of payroll deduction, a Fair <br />Shaze Fee, as determined by the Treasurer of the Association but not to excsed the dues paid by <br />Association members. <br />4.3 A check in the amount of the total dues and Fair Share Fees withheid frorn those Employees <br />authorizing dues and Fair Share Fee deductions shail be tendered to the Treasurer of the <br />Association within fourteen days from the date of those deductions. The Bmployer sha11 supply <br />the Association with a list of those Employees for whom deduction has been made. <br />4.4 The Association agrees to hold the Employer harmless from any and all liabilities and damages <br />which may arise from the performance of its, the Employer's, obligations under this Article and <br />the Association shall indemnify the Employer for any such liabilit'ies or damages that do arise. <br />lI
