313 Each Employee shall receive an annual cash uniform allowance in the amount of $1,250.00. Such <br />allowance shalf be paid in the Employee's first paycheck uf January each year providtng they have <br />twelve (12) months of service. Employees with less than twelve (12) months of service shall have <br />such amount prorated. <br />11.4 Clothing allowance shall be prorated per month in the Employee's final year of employment. <br />ARTICLE XII <br />H4LIDAYS <br />12.1 On January Iuofeach year, Employees shall be entitled to seven, twenty-four hour Holidays plus <br />1(one) additional 24 (twenty-four) hour Personal day to be ased at the Employees discretion. The <br />Personal day shall be sub}ect to approval of the Fire Chief or his designee and shall be made in <br />accordance with the rules governing any other time off request under the Holiday provision. <br />However, should an Emptoyee retire ar otherwise tenninate employment for any reason other than <br />death or disahility, Hotidays shall be procated for the year, and any Holidays taken beyond the <br />prorated atlowance will be debited from amounts due said Employee which are reiated to wages. <br />12.2 Selection of Hotidays shati be made by the Employee and be sabject ta the approval of the Fue <br />Chief or his designee. <br />12.3 Emptoyees shall be permitted to select Holidays so in the sole opinion of the Fire Chief, the Fire <br />Department will be appropriatety staffed to protect the City of North Olmsted. <br />12.4 Holidays may be selected at any time prior ta the desired date. However, snch selection shall not <br />be approved more than three months prior to ihe selected date. In the event more requests aze <br />submitted for a specife day than the schedute can accommodate, an Employee's seniority and <br />selection date shall be the deciding factor, <br />22.5 Each Employee who works a shift beginning at 0800 hours on New Year's Day, President's Day, <br />Goad Friday, Easter, Memoriai Day, Fourih of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, <br />and Christmas shalt be compensated at time and a half pay plus longevity if applicabie for all <br />hours worked. All comp time will be paid at the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay for Line Personnel plus <br />Iongevity ifappticable. <br />20
